Solibuffer 800 is a high-performance 800-liter buffer tank engineered to enhance heating efficiency and protect heat pumps from short cycling. By separating the heat pump circuit and increasing system water volume, it reduces wear, operational costs, and ensures stable performance.
Designed to store excess energy, it guarantees a steady hot water supply, making it ideal for radiant floor heating and space heating systems. It also supports defrost cycles, improving efficiency and ensuring faster system response for optimal comfort.
To minimize heat loss, 100–500 L models feature 50 mm thick, 40 kg/m³ polyurethane insulation, while 800 and 1000 L models use 18 kg/m³ sponge insulation. With a compact, maintenance-free design, Solibuffer is easy to install and requires no anode rod. Available in 50–1000 L capacities, it also offers an optional electric heater.

What is the Solibuffer 800L buffer tank used for?
The Solibuffer 800L is a buffer tank with a 850-litre water volume installed between the heat source — typically a heat pump or boiler — and the heating circuit. The added water volume reduces short cycling, protects the compressor and smooths heat delivery to radiators or underfloor heating. It is rated for 6 bar maximum working pressure and boiler water temperatures up to 95 °C.
Which system size suits a 800 L buffer tank?
Buffer volume is selected from the heat generator's output and the system's minimum-flow requirement, so follow the volume specified by your installer or heat-pump manual. The Solibuffer range spans 50 to 1,000 litres — the 800 L model is the large option in that range.
How much standby heat does the Solibuffer 800L lose?
Standing heat loss is 195 W, which corresponds to ErP energy-efficiency class E. The vessel is insulated with 80 mm of sponge insulation.
Can I connect a heat pump and underfloor heating directly?
Yes. The tank provides dedicated G 2" tappings for the heat-source feed and G 2" connections for the underfloor-heating circuit, so it drops into standard hydraulic layouts without adapters.
