Intersolar Europe 2025: Future of Renewable Heating Unveiled

Insights from Harun Kartal
Held in Munich from May 7–9, Intersolar Europe 2025 proved to be more than just a global gathering for the solar and renewable energy industry. It served as a strategic hub where the future of sustainable heating technologies was actively discussed and shaped.
For us at Solimpeks, this wasn’t just another international event—it was a powerful opportunity to reaffirm our long-term vision and showcase our innovative solutions on a global platform.
PV-T Hybrid Systems: From Niche to Mainstream
One of the most talked-about trends across Halls A5 and A6 was undoubtedly the rise of PV-T hybrid systems—an intelligent fusion of photovoltaic (PV) modules and thermal collectors. These systems stood out for their space efficiency, dual-purpose performance, and energy yield, making them an ideal fit for integrated heating and power solutions.
While many European manufacturers presented their PV-T systems for the first time, Solimpeks took pride in being a pioneer in this field. We’ve supported and developed PV-T technology for years, long before it reached mainstream recognition.
The message was clear: the future isn’t about stand-alone devices—it’s about intelligent system integration. PV-T, when combined with heat pumps and smart storage solutions, forms a complete, future-ready energy system. These fully integrated solutions generated strong interest from engineers, project developers, and system integrators alike.
Heat Pumps: Smarter, Synchronized, and System-Centric
This year’s Intersolar clearly emphasized a shift: heat pumps are no longer just products—they’re the centerpiece of renewable heating systems.
The spotlight was on new-generation air-to-water and water-to-water heat pumps that are not only highly efficient but also designed to work in sync with solar power systems and battery storage units.
Monoblock heat pump units—thanks to their compact design—are now more installation-friendly, especially in retrofit projects where space and time matter most.
At Solimpeks, we proudly showcased our Varmeks heat pump series, which received strong attention for its compatibility, smart controls, and energy performance.
Smart Hot Water Storage: A Silent Revolution
Another notable highlight of Intersolar 2025 was the growing focus on advanced hot water storage technologies.
Digitally controlled enamel-coated tanks, ranging from 200 to 1000 liters, stood out with their efficiency, aesthetic design, and full compatibility with solar thermal and heat pump systems.
At Solimpeks, our newly developed smart tanks, designed under our “one-stop system supplier” philosophy, received significant interest. These tanks are crucial in providing seamless integration and simplifying project planning for developers focused on full-system thinking.
Global Engagement: Strong European Presence, Reduced Global Reach
In terms of heating technologies, countries like Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Turkey demonstrated strong participation. The visitor base mainly included heating engineers, system installers, project developers, tendering authorities, and energy distributors.
However, there was a visible drop in attendance from regions like Africa and parts of Asia, largely due to ongoing Schengen visa challenges. On a positive note, we observed a growing shift toward online networking and digital representation, which helped maintain global engagement in a new way.
The event buzzed with innovation and collaboration, as thought leaders and pioneers across the industry shared visionary ideas, showcased groundbreaking technologies, and explored the next chapter in Europe’s solar journey. From insightful panels to forward-looking conversations, the week underscored a shared drive to accelerate the clean energy transition.
Key Takeaway: The Future of Heating Is Integrated, Multi-Source, and Smart
Intersolar Europe 2025 made one thing very clear—the future of heating is system-based, multi-source, and interconnected.
From PV-T hybrids and solar-synced heat pumps to smart thermal storage and full renewable integration, the focus is shifting rapidly from isolated products to complete energy ecosystems.
At Solimpeks, we remain committed to this transition. We believe in system integration, technological harmony, and sustainable innovation. Our vision is to develop comprehensive, scalable solutions, not just individual components.
Participating in Intersolar 2025 reaffirmed our direction. We sincerely thank all our visitors from Europe and Turkey who took the time to explore our innovations. With your trust, we are ready to shape the future of renewable heating—together.
